Drew is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions practice group. His practice centers on the intersection of intellectual property and commercial transactions.
Drew’s practice involves trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement for clients in retail, technology, and pharmaceutical industries. He assists clients with high-volume trademark clearance and counsels clients on the availability of designations and the likelihood of registration. Drew also provides assistance with federal trademark prosecution with the United States Patent and Trademark Office by drafting identifications of goods and services and preparing office action responses. He also supports clients with enforcing their trademark rights through cease and desist correspondence, opposition proceedings with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and Internet and social media takedowns. In addition, Drew advises clients on trade dress issues in connection with product packaging designs.
In addition, Drew provides transactional support for a wide range of clients in healthcare, financial services, retail, automotive and technology development industries. Drew’s has experience negotiating a broad range of technology-focused agreements, including SaaS and cloud services, software license, and intellectual property development agreements. He also has assisted clients develop bespoke co-marketing and brand development, custom product manufacturing, and artificial intelligence license agreements.
