Kutak Rock Serves as Bond Counsel for Maiker Housing Partner’s Overlook at Thornton Project

Kutak Rock served as bond counsel to Maiker Housing Partners in connection with the issuance of $43,500,000 of its Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds (Overlook at Thornton Project) Series 2023. Proceeds of the bonds will finance a portion of the cost of acquiring, constructing, rehabilitating, improving, and equipping a 160-unit multifamily residential rental project located in Thornton, Colorado and known as Overlook at Thornton. The owner of the project is 647 OAT, LLLP.

The Common amenities include: playground, barbeque/picnic area, basketball court, and laundry facilities. There are 233 parking spaces for tenant use. Unit amenities include: kitchen appliances, baseboard hydronic heating and through-wall air conditioning units. It is anticipated that the project will be completed in 19 months. All 160 units hall be held available for rental to persons whose adjusted family income is equal to or less than 60% of the area median income adjusted for family size and the rents which may be charged for occupancy of such units will be restricted to not more than 30% of 60% of area median income, adjusted for family size.

Maiker Housing Partners was created in 1974 and has developed 1,500 affordable housing units in Colorado.
