Kutak Rock’s Employment Law Group proudly presents the 14th Annual Employment Law Seminar. This year’s seminar is all about navigating the rapidly evolving workplace.

Through Zoom again this year, we will be presenting two separate one-hour sessions on two separate dates: November 10 and 17 from noon to 1 p.m. CST.

CLE credit in the following states has been approved: Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Washington. HRCI credit is also approved. CLE credit is pending in Ohio and credit will be sought in Virginia and Illinois after course material is finalized.

Marcia Washkuhn will discuss the current trends, status and legal guidance for requiring or encouraging employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine, including how to draft and implement vaccine policies and properly evaluate and respond to accommodation requests.

Gigi O’Hara | OSHA Compliance in the Age of COVID-19

COVID-19 continues to dominate legal concerns for employers in 2021 and recent shifts from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) demonstrate that workplace safety hazards related to COVID-19 are no exception. In this presentation, Gigi O’Hara will focus on OSHA enforcement guidance related to COVID-19, including the issuance of an emergency temporary standard for healthcare employers and updated guidance on mitigating and preventing the spread of COVID-19 in all industries.

Kasey Cappellano | Diversity Without Drama: Seamlessly Introducing DEI Initiatives and Policies Related to Developing Legal Issues

Kasey Cappellano will discuss strategies for thoughtfully implementing training, affinity groups, policies and other DEI initiatives and responses for common employee concerns. She will also discuss President Biden’s recent statement on transgender rights efforts, Supreme Court rulings on transgender employee rights, Nebraska’s new law on natural hairstyles, and how these various initiatives are likely to affect employers.
