Meaghan represents employers in all stages of employment litigation and also provides day-to-day advice on a wide variety of employment issues. She defends employers against discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful discharge claims under state and federal law. She has been successful in defending employers against charges of discrimination, harassment and retaliation filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state fair employment agencies.
Outside the litigation context, Meaghan counsels employers on day-to-day issues such as employee discipline, pregnancy accommodation issues, and application of the ADA and FMLA.
She also has experience drafting employment agreements, restrictive covenants and confidentiality or nondisclosure agreements, severance agreements and employee handbooks.
Before joining Kutak Rock LLP, Ms. Gandy served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kenneth C. Stephan, Judge of the Nebraska Supreme Court.
