We also represent successful regional developers focused on distributed renewable generation and micro-grid distribution matters.
We represent some of the country’s largest corporate retail purchasers and government purchasers of renewable energy and environmental attributes through virtual, as well as physical, power purchase agreements. Our development work includes:
- Preparing power purchase agreements
- Site control in the form of options for the lease and/or purchase of real property
- Permitting
- Design-build contracts
- Grid interconnection
- Regulatory proceedings before the FERC and state public utilities commission
- Federal and state renewable energy taxes and credits and other incentives
Our investor clients have invested in renewable, bio-fuel, energy savings, and co-generation facilities, among others.
We regularly collaborate with our corporate team to help clients acquire and sell companies and renewable energy assets. In addition, we represent clients in judicial appeals stemming from administrative agency decisions.
During the past several years, our group has helped clients develop, finance, structure and close more than 1,500 MW of installed solar and wind capacity, and more than a gigawatt of additional renewable energy projects currently in development.
