Stuart C. Hindmarsh

Stuart enjoys the analysis and resolution of complex legal issues to meet client needs and reduce risk. His practice involves financial institutions, real estate, contracts, commercial transactions, and general corporate matters. He is also passionate about diversity and inclusiveness, having served on the firm's National Inclusiveness and Diversity Committee since 2015.

Stuart has substantial experience assisting financial institutions and lenders with commercial loans, workouts, deeds-in-lieu, treasury management services, financial services, customer service agreements, vendor management, and compliance. In addition, he has represented large and small businesses in hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of real estate acquisitions, leases, and other transactions, and his land use and zoning experience includes handling projects for hundreds of operating locations for a Fortune 500 client. Other aspects of his practice involve sales, service, confidentiality, and other commercial agreements.

Stuart had the opportunity to serve as seconded in-house counsel for a Fortune 100 client, where he was the primary legal contact for day-to-day real estate matters at U.S. operating store locations and facilities management, including the preparation and negotiation of vendor service agreements. This opportunity provided him a valuable “inside-out” perspective of meeting client needs while managing internal processes, financial objectives, and legal risk.
