Kutak Rock Welcomes Robert Petrowsky as Of Counsel in Springfield

Kutak Rock is pleased to announce that Robert Petrowsky has joined the firm’s Springfield office as of counsel in its Tax Credits and Mergers and Acquisitions practices.

Robert advises businesses, governmental entities and other clients on a wide range of tax, corporate and real estate matters. His practice includes counseling clients on the federal and state tax implications of complex business transactions, as well as mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, corporate governance, commercial contracts and real estate transactions.

Robert has experience advising municipal and private clients on tax and transactional matters involving tax increment financing (TIF) districts, Chapter 100 industrial development bonds and renewable energy projects. He also advises businesses, shareholders and other stakeholders on the tax consequences of mergers, acquisitions and other complex transactions.

His transactional experience includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating asset and stock purchase agreements, buy-sell agreements, operating and partnership agreements, commercial leases and other business contracts. Robert also has represented small and midsized businesses on corporate governance, commercial lending, securities, financing, and general business matters including serving in an outside general counsel capacity.

Robert earned an Executive LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he earned certificates in Corporate and Commercial Law, Advanced Legal Research and Basic Legal Research. He received his B.S. in Business Management, cum laude, from Colorado State University Global Campus.
