Kutak Rock served as Bond Counsel in connection with the Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority’s $8,460,000 Independent School Revenue Loan (The Watershed School Project) Series 2023. The proceeds from the Series 2023 Loan will be utilized by The Watershed School to: (a) finance and/or refinance the construction, acquisition, improvement and equipping of an educational facility, which will include multiple buildings and which will be operated as part of an integrated operation, located at 5400 and 5405 Spine Road; Boulder, Colorado 80301; and (b) pay certain expenses incurred in connection with the Series 2023 Loan.

Flexible, inspiring, and creative, Watershed’s new space will better enable the school to implement its experiential, community-centered, impact-driven educational programs. Further, acquisition of its own campus allows Watershed to move from a rent-based financial model to an ownership model that offers long-term financial sustainability and a place for current students, future students, and alumni to call home for generations to come.
