Kutak Rock served as bond counsel for the issuance by the City and County of Denver, Colorado of its $25,670,000 Multifamily Housing Revenue Note (Montbello FreshLo – The Hub) Series 2023A and its $6,671,126 Multifamily Housing Revenue Taxable Note (Montbello FreshLo – The Hub) Series 2023B. The proceeds of the notes financed a portion of the acquisition, construction and equipping of a multifamily housing facility known as “Montbello FreshLo – The Hub” located at 12444 East Albrook Drive, in Denver, Colorado.

The Montbello FreshLo Hub will be a six-story affordable housing project with a mental health center, as well as office, meeting and retail spaces. The multifamily housing project will offer 97 one-, two- and three-bedroom units targeted for individuals and families living at 30-60% of area median income. Construction and occupancy is slated to be complete in mid-2024.
