Kutak Rock partners Mark Lasee and Ken Witt will speak at the State Bar of Arizona’s 2023 CLE by the Sea on Monday, July 10 in Coronado, CA. Their presentation, “Raising Capital for Real Estate Development: Securities Law Compliance and Private Investment Vehicles,” will cover how to raise funds for development without violating securities laws and will examine the peculiarities of comingled real estate investments.

Mark Lasee is a member of the firm’s Institutional Investments Group and represents institutional clients concerning their investments in private markets and a Board-Certified Specialist in Real Estate Law (State Bar of Arizona). Mark’s alternative investment representation includes all sorts of private equity, hedge fund, commingled real estate and infrastructure transactions for investors in international and domestic funds.

Ken Witt heads up the Corporate and Securities Group in Kutak’s Scottsdale office. Ken represents institutional clients, as well as technology companies in a number of industry verticals, including computer hardware, software, medical technology, energy and crypto. His work includes primarily institutional private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, and representation of start-up and venture-capital-backed technology companies.
