Chris Parrington, Andrew Shedlock, Jason Caskey to Present CLE Series for The Cannabis Report

Chris Parrington and Andrew Shedlock, attorneys in the firm’s Minneapolis office, will present a series of CLE webinars as co-chairs of "The Cannabis Report: What Every Lawyer Should Know About Marijuana, Hemp, CBS and Vaping" on Wednesday, September 23. Kutak Rock partner Jason Caskey, from the firm’s Omaha office, will also present a CLE webinar during the all-day panel. 

The Cannabis Report is sponsored by Minnesota CLE and will provide an overview of the world of vaping and marijuana. Attendees will:

  • Learn about the medical science behind vaping and marijuana;
  • Understand the dangers of vaping;
  • Learn about the regulatory framework for marijuana across the country;
  • Get an update on the Minnesota marijuana industry; and
  • See how insurance interplays with the world of marijuana.

Minnesota House Majority Leader Ryan Winkler, the event’s special guest speaker, will present, “What Legalization of Marijuana Could Look Like in Minnesota From a Legal, Business, and Practical Perspective.”

Mr. Parrington and Mr. Shedlock will provide two CLE presentations: “The ABCs of Cannabis” and “Regulating Marijuana – Approaches by Individual States.” Mr. Caskey will present “Contractual and Commercial Issues in Vaping, Marijuana and Hemp Agreements,” and Mr. Shedlock is a co-presenter for “An Overview of the Hemp and CBD Industry” with Melvin Welch, General Manager of Nemadji Manufacturing.

Chris Parrington and Andrew Shedlock are actively involved in representing businesses and business owners operating in or providing ancillary services to the state-legal cannabis industry.
