Kutak Rock served as bond and disclosure counsel in connection with the issuance of the State of Colorado, Department of Higher Education, by State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education Systemwide Revenue Refunding Bonds, Series 2019A in the aggregate principal amount of $25,150,000.  Proceeds of the Series 2019A Bonds were used to advance refund a portion of the outstanding State of Colorado, Department of Higher Education, by State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education Taxable Systemwide Revenue Bonds (Community College of Denver Project and Pueblo Community College Project) (Build America Bonds-Direct Payment to the Board), Series 2010D.  The transaction produced 7.25% savings on debt service of the refunded bonds.  Paying less debt service means more dollars for student achievement.

The Colorado Community College System is comprised of 13 unique colleges with over 40 locations across the State of Colorado, educating 137,000 students every year.

Kutak Rock partners Fred Marienthal, Jennifer Barrett and Shawn Willette worked on this financing.
