David Bracht, Jacob Tewes to Present at Nebraska State Bar Association Annual Meeting

Kutak Rock attorneys David Bracht and Jacob Tewes, both from the firm’s Omaha office, will present during the Agriculture Law Section CLE Seminar at the Nebraska State Bar Association’s 2019 Annual Meeting on Thursday, October 10 at 8:00 a.m. in La Vista.

Mr. Bracht’s presentation, “Industrial Hemp: What Farmers (and Their Lawyers) Need to Know After the 2018 Farm Bill and the Nebraska Hemp Farming Act,” will discuss key provisions of the Farm Bill and Hemp Farming Act. It will also address the status of regulations under development by USDA, FDA, and the Nebraska Department of Agriculture applicable to hemp producers and processors, along with things to avoid in this developing industry.

Mr. Tewes’ presentation, “Drones in Agriculture: Rules of the Road & Sky for Farmers and Ag-Service Companies Using Drones,” will provide practical information about FAA rules and requirements for individual farmers using drones, as well as crop consultants and others using or providing drone services as a part of a commercial business.

Mr. Bracht is a member of the firm’s corporate practice group and focuses his practice on agriculture and renewable energy-related issues. Mr. Tewes is a member of the firm’s tech transactions practice group and bridges gaps between law and technology.
