Christopher Varallo advises businesses, financial institutions, public entities and utilities on banking, general business and real estate matters. His clients include real estate developers, manufacturers, agricultural growers and producers, public facilities districts, and electric cooperatives. Many rely on Christopher as outside general counsel because of his practical judgment, hands-on approach, and ability to coordinate legal matters across multiple areas of law.

Christopher serves as general counsel to Columbia Rural Electric Association in Walla Walla, Washington, and the Spokane Public Facilities District. In his work for the Spokane Public Facilities District, he advises on the legal issues arising from the District’s ownership and operation of the Numerica Veterans Arena, First Interstate Center for the Arts, Spokane Convention Center, The Podium, and Spokane ONE Stadium. He is special counsel to Kootenai Health on the real estate and corporate aspects of the Prairie Medical Campus, a multiphase medical development in Post Falls, Idaho (a joint venture with MultiCare Health System).

Christopher also advises utilities and other clients on the legal, business and real estate issues associated with data center development and utility-side data center projects. His experience includes matters involving utility infrastructure, electrical service, site acquisition and development, and related commercial arrangements. He also negotiates with the Bonneville Power Administration on behalf of utility clients regarding power supply and transmission arrangements for large loads.

Christopher has considerable experience representing financial institutions, including national and community banks, credit unions and agricultural lending cooperatives. Drawing on that experience and the resources of a national law firm, he helps clients navigate matters ranging from routine business needs to complex transactions and projects while providing responsive, practical and high-quality legal counsel.
