Elise Siffring is an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions Group and the Privacy and Data Security Group. In her IP and technology transactions practice, she assists in drafting and negotiating data privacy agreements, data processing amendments, software-as-a-service agreements, intellectual property licensing agreements, and other technology-related contracts, often involving artificial intelligence and data. She also assists with trademark clearance searches, trademark registration, prosecution, and enforcement of trademark rights. Elise's technology transactions work spans a range of commercial sectors, including financial services, retail, and health care.

In her privacy and data security practice, Elise counsels clients on compliance with state, federal and international privacy regulations, including the GDPR, CCPA and state data breach notification laws. She advises on data privacy and protection implications associated with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and assists in developing comprehensive privacy policies, cookie policies, and cybersecurity protocols tailored to clients’ specific business operations and regulatory requirements. Elise also supports clients through data breach investigations and incident response.

Drawing on her background in applied mathematics, data analytics, and programming, along with a prior career in foreign exchange trading, Elise brings a distinctive, data-driven perspective to complex privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property matters.
