Diana has represented corporate clients and senior management in federal and state courts and in alternative dispute resolution and administrative agency proceedings involving employment-related disputes (e.g., claims of wrongful discharge, discrimination, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, and enforcement of non-competition agreements). She provides day-to-day advice on all aspects of the employee-lifecycle, including advising on discipline and terminations, drafting employee handbooks and employment and separation agreements, conducting sexual harassment training and investigations, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations (e.g., wage and hour, immigration, and balancing return to work issues under workers’ compensation laws, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans With Disabilities Act). She also works closely with transaction lawyers on employment law implications in mergers and acquisitions (e.g., reviewing change in control, severance and stock option provisions for key employees), plant closings or reductions in force. 

While Diana currently specializes in employment law, she understands clients’ needs from a variety of different industries, drawing on her years of experience also representing business clients in general and complex litigation. She has successfully represented businesses in contract, tort, and civil fraud litigation, construction law disputes, common interest ownership law disputes, county and special district land use and development hearings, minority shareholder oppression disputes, and foreclosure, banking and securities litigation.

Diana has been a frequent presenter at industry and continuing legal education seminars and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado School of Law.
