Jason Kotlyarov Appointed Vice President of UMKC Bloch Alumni Board
News | July 22, 2026Kutak Rock attorney Jason Kotlyarov has been appointed vice president of the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Henry W. Bloch School of Management Alumni Board for the 2026-2028 term.
Jason has served on the Bloch Alumni Board since 2022, most recently as treasurer. In his new leadership role, he will help support the Board’s mission of strengthening alumni engagement and advancing the Bloch School through volunteer leadership and service.
A three-time graduate of UNKC, Jason earned his Bachelor of Science from the Henry W. Bloch School of Management, followed by his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law.
Jason focuses his practice on providing full-service representation to employee benefit plans, plan sponsors and fiduciaries, which includes issues pertaining to governance, compliance, amendment/policy review and drafting and litigation. He is one of the few attorneys in the nation who specializes in representing registered apprenticeship plans, including standards and policy review, program compliance with applicable Department of Labor and state apprenticeship laws, advising on complex prohibited transactions issues unique to apprenticeship plans, scholarship loans, employment law issues and more.
