Kutak Rock is pleased to announce that Jason Kotlyarov has been named secretary/treasurer of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) Civil Litigation Section. In this role, Jason will support the section’s leadership in advancing professional development, education, and engagement for attorneys practicing civil litigation in the Kansas City region. The Civil Litigation Section brings together practitioners from a wide range of practice areas to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and promote excellence in the practice of law.

Jason’s appointment reflects his commitment to the legal profession and his active involvement in the Kansas City legal community. Kutak Rock congratulates Jason on this achievement and looks forward to his continued leadership and service.

Jason focuses his practice on providing full-service representation to employee benefit plans, plan sponsors and fiduciaries, which includes issues pertaining to governance, compliance, amendment/policy review and drafting and litigation. He is one of the few attorneys in the nation who specializes in representing registered apprenticeship plans, including standards and policy review, program compliance with applicable Department of Labor and state apprenticeship laws, advising on complex prohibited transactions issues unique to apprenticeship plans, scholarship loans, employment law issues and more.
