Kutak Rock partner Jill Goldstein recently spoke at the ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law Boot Camp, held October 16–17, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan.

Jill served as a panelist for “Negotiating Exits,” a session focused on the critical stage of investor exits in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transactions. The panel discussed the tools and strategies practitioners use to navigate this process, including purchase options, rights of first refusal, and put options, as well as key tax considerations, option periods, and appraiser selection.

Hosted by the ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law, the Boot Camp provided young lawyers and professionals with practical insights into affordable housing, tax credit transactions, and community development law.

Jill represents investors and syndicators in the affordable housing industry. Her primary focus is on assisting tax credit investors and syndicators on equity and tax matters on lower-tier investments across the United States, including front-end structuring advice and strategy, negotiating and drafting letters of intent, partnership agreements and other key documentation, and analyzing and solving tax issues.
