Kutak Rock Serves as Counsel to the Underwriters for the Blakeley and Laurel Villages Projects
News | June 2, 2025Kutak Rock served as counsel to the underwriters in connection with the issuance of the Washington State Housing Finance Commission Nonprofit Revenue Bonds (Blakeley and Laurel Villages Portfolio), Series 2025A in the principal amount of $464,735,000 and its Subordinate Nonprofit Revenue Bonds (Blakeley and Laurel Villages Portfolio), Series 2025B in the principal amount of $33,675,000. Proceeds of the Bonds will be used to assist with (a) the acquisition by ground lease, demolition of two existing facilities, and construction and equipping of (i) a 1,012-bed facility to be known as Blakeley Village; and (ii) a 341-unit facility and 12,000 square-foot child care building to be known as Laurel Village; (b) the funding of a debt service reserve fund; (c) the payment of capitalized interest with respect to the Bonds; (d) the payment of certain working capital expenditures with respect to the Project Facilities; and (e) the payment of costs of issuing the Bonds. The Project Facilities are located in Seattle, Washington on land owned and leased by the University of Washington.
