Kutak Rock partner Lisa Sarver will speak at an upcoming webinar sponsored by the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development on Feb. 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. EST.

The webinar, titled "The Corporate Transparency Act: What Affordable Housing and Community Development Lawyers Need to Know," will focus on the recently enacted Corporate Transparency Act, a federal law aimed at preventing the illicit use of anonymous shell companies for financial crimes. Alongside a comprehensive examination of the statute and accompanying regulations, the session will highlight the Act's implications for standard housing and community development transactions.

Lisa  focuses her practice on the representation of public and private companies, and their boards of directors, in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, restructurings, financings and a wide range of corporate governance and other regulatory matters. She counsels board and independent committees on fiduciary duties, oversight of corporate transactions, the regulatory landscape, and governance standards. Lisa serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s national Mergers & Acquisitions group and heads the Omaha corporate finance practice group.
