Congratulations to the City and County of Denver for receiving the National Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies (NALHFA) Award of Excellence for the metroDPA Social Equity Program. The Program was designed to increase BIPOC homeownership by providing up to $25,000 of down payment assistance to residents and direct descendants who were impacted by discriminatory lending practices, like redlining, in Denver between 1938 – 2000. 

Fred Marienthal and John Bales collaborated with Denver on the design of this Program.
