John Reardon, Matthias Edrich Author Commentary in The Bond Buyer

Kutak Rock attorneys John Reardon and Matthias Edrich authored a guest commentary, “Private Activity Bonds for Broadband: A Potential New Solution,” published on February 2 in The Bond Buyer.

The commentary covers the authors’ thoughts regarding a new government program permitting tax-exempt bonds for the financing of broadband facilities. Mr. Reardon and Mr. Edrich examine the nuances of broadband private activity bonds, or PABs; provide suggestions for a broadband PAB applicant or prospective PAB borrower; and explain why the broadband PAB program is a potentially valuable tool for rural communities and the commercial entities that wish to serve them.
