Dwyer Arce Named 2021 Outstanding Young Lawyer by Nebraska State Bar Association

Kutak Rock litigation attorney Dwyer Arce has been named the 2021 Outstanding Young Lawyer by the Nebraska State Bar Association (NSBA). This award is presented to a member of the NSBA Young Lawyers Section “who has made exemplary contributions to the community and to public service, who has actively participated in state and local bar activities, and who stands out in the areas of professional knowledge, skill, integrity, and courtesy.”

Mr. Arce is an experienced appellate and trial litigator admitted to practice in Nebraska, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, litigating in federal and state courts nationwide. This includes serving as counsel of record before the United States Supreme Court, successfully presenting oral argument before a full federal appeals court sitting en banc, securing mandamus relief in federal court, serving as counsel for amicus curiae in civil rights appeals, and representing clients in jury, bench, and administrative trials. His appellate practice was recognized in the 2021 and 2022 editions of The Best Lawyers in America©.

Mr. Arce served on the Executive Committee of the Omaha Bar Association, the Nebraska Supreme Court’s Committee on Practice and Procedure, and the NSBA’s Legislation Committee. Currently, he Chairs the NSBA’s Practice and Procedure Committee.

In addition to his commercial practice. Mr. Arce devotes hundreds of hours to MICAH House, a family emergency shelter providing temporary housing to over 800 members of the Omaha metro and western Iowa communities annually.

Mr. Arce will receive his award at the 2021 NSBA Annual Meeting in October.
