Seth Kirshenberg to Speak at CDFA Intro Public-Private Partnership (P3) Finance Course

News | August 10, 2021

Seth Kirshenberg, a partner in Kutak Rock’s Washington, D.C. office, will present at the Council of Development Finance Agencies’ (CDFA) Intro Public-Private Partnership (P3) Finance Course. His presentation, titled “Negotiating the Terms,” will be held on Thursday, August 12 at 12:15 p.m. EDT.

When structured properly, a P3 project should build on the strength and investment power of the public sector while benefiting from the innovation and efficiency of the private sector. Mr. Kirshenberg will explore how a P3 provides development and operating efficiencies that allow for more cost-effective financing options. He will also discuss how negotiating the terms of the partnership is key to realizing these benefits. What are the terms of the contract, how should they be negotiated, how are the demands of the private sector balanced with the needs of the public sector? Mr. Kirshenberg will address these questions and look at the best practices and typical terms of a P3 agreement.
