On August 11 from 3-5 p.m. MT, the Division of Housing, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), and Kutak Rock are offering a webinar for all local officials, developers, and others who want to learn how to use Private Activity Bonds (PAB). Learn about qualified uses, and how to use this tool to support affordable housing and community development in your community.

Speakers include:

  • John Bales, who is a frequent presenter on private activity bonds and housing issues, and who also specializes in charter school finance.
  • Frederic Marienthal, a senior public finance partner who has worked on hundreds of deals in his career, often pioneering new financing structures.
  • Shannon Friel, PAB manager for the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority.
  • Wayne McClary, Housing Development Specialist with the Division of Housing.

Created in 1973 by the Colorado General Assembly, CHFA strengthens communities by making loans to low- and moderate-income homebuyers, affordable multifamily rental housing developers, and small and medium sized businesses. CHFA also provides education and technical assistance regarding affordable housing and economic development.

There is no cost for this webinar. Registration and more details are available on the CHFA website.
