In partnership with the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) and the Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA), Kutak Rock partner Seth Kirshenberg presented a webinar about public-private partnerships (P3) on June 17, 2020. The online event provided an in-depth discussion about navigating the use of public-private partnerships for infrastructure projects in Texas. Experts, including Mr. Kirshenberg, shared first-hand knowledge of their experience utilizing P3 financing for successful infrastructure projects.

The webinar, “Public-Private Financing for Infrastructure in Certain Times,” covered what is currently driving the rise of P3, the American Society of Civil Engineers’ report card on America’s infrastructure and what it will cost to maintain infrastructure in the United States, as well as general information on the types, terms, goals, phases, risks and benefits of P3.

Mr. Kirshenberg also discussed the impact and uncertain economic conditions of the recent pandemic on the P3 market, leading to the exploration of new financing options by state and federal entities.

Mr. Kirshenberg is the lead attorney for billions of dollars of P3, energy and real estate structured finance and development projects.  He advises governments, developers, financiers, investors and rating agencies in structuring, developing, operating and leasing private and governmental projects.
