David Bracht, former Nebraska Director of Energy and Kutak Rock of counsel, was recently invited to speak with a delegation of businessmen from Vietnam visiting Omaha following up on meetings the group had with Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts during his recent trade mission to the country. 

Mr. Bracht provided a presentation to the delegation about agriculture and energy in Nebraska.  Specifically, Mr. Bracht covered Nebraska’s rural energy drivers and advances in technology. He also discussed what makes Nebraska different when it comes to renewable energy development, including Nebraska ethanol plants, wind projects and solar energy.  Among other things, the delegation was exploring potential partnerships to meet the Vietnam government’s goals for utilizing ethanol in the nation’s fuel mix.

Mr. Bracht is a member of the firm’s corporate practice group and focuses his practice on agriculture and renewable energy related issues.
