Kutak Rock congratulates its client Invenergy, LLC for receiving a June 7, 2016 authorization from the Antelope County, Nebraska Board of Supervisors to move forward with its proposed 350-megawatt, 160-turbine wind farm to be built north of the City of Neligh. The project currently has agreements with approximately 200 landowners across 45,000 acres for the placement of turbines and related facilities.

During construction, the project is expected to employ 470 full- and part-time employees, pay annual taxes of more than $1,300,000, and contribute $90,000,000 to the local economy over its 25-year life. It will power enough energy for 140,000 homes annually and offset approximately 910,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

Assisting on the project were Kutak Rock National Energy Group lawyers Mike Degan and Todd Guerrero. A newspaper article on the county approval can be found here.
