Kutak Rock attorneys Jennie Clark Stewart and Andrew King from the firm's Little Rock office presented at a workshop titled "Small Business Legal Basics" on Wednesday, May 7 at the Donald W. Reynolds Business Center in Little Rock.

The workshop, presented by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center and sponsored by Kutak Rock, covered a range of legal topics, including tax issues, partnerships, contracts, liability and human resources.

Stewart presented on tax for small businesses covering business entity tax advantages, business operations, developments in tax law, tax considerations in buying or selling a business, estate planning for small business owners, and state tax issues.

King's presentation covered indemnity and hold harmless provisions, non-compete clauses, condfidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, arbitration clauses and financial clauses.
