From small ventures to big box retail centers and mixed-use developments, multifamily and senior living facilities, sports arenas and convention centers, we understand that real estate development is an interactive process and that each development is unique. With a deep understanding of construction and development issues and extensive experience in financing on the debt and equity sides of transactions, we are well-positioned to assist clients through every step of the development process, including:

  • Strategic planning and structuring of transactions
  • Negotiation of letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements and ground leases
  • Due diligence and project coordination, including environmental risk assessment, mitigation and remediation, assemblages, land use and entitlements, and title and survey issues
  • Negotiation of protective covenants, reciprocal easement agreements and operating agreements
  • Negotiation of development agreements and design, construction management, construction and other related contracts, including AIA forms
  • Construction oversight, including contract certification requirements, mechanics’ liens, lien waivers, warranties, insurance coverages and bonds
  • Project finance and construction lending, including debt and equity structuring and permanent financing
  • Project leasing, management and operation
  • Disposition of all or parts of projects, including outparcel sales, leasing and development
