Jay Jackson


Jay is a public finance associate in the firm's Omaha office. He acts as bond counsel and special tax counsel to municipal issuers, as well as counsel to underwriters, lenders, and borrowers, all in connection with the issuance of municipal bonds and other obligations. In such capacities he focuses on affordable single-family and multifamily housing. In addition, Jay acts as special counsel to lenders for the acquisition and documentation of interest rate caps in multifamily housing transactions.

Prior to assuming this role, Jay served on active duty in the United States Air Force, deploying six times to the Middle East, including multiple deployments as senior legal advisor to a special operations joint task force. Jay earned numerous military awards and distinctions during his active duty career and in 2018 was recognized as Outstanding Career Judge Advocate. He continues to serve as a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserve.
