Beth focuses her practice on real estate matters involved in the affordable housing and historic tax credit industries.

Beth represents tax credit investors and syndicators on real estate, debt financing and equity aspects of lower-tier investments, and she has extensive experience working on transactions which utilize structures twinning HTC with LIHTC or NMTC. She also has advised tax credit investors on numerous workout and resyndication issues arising in connection with LIHTC investments. A portion of her practice includes representation of real estate developers in tax credit transactions with respect to pre-development matters, preparation of tax credit applications, local counsel opinions, easements, condominium documents, zoning matters, management agreements, title, survey, construction contracts and debt financing.

  • Represented investor on Neighborhood Service Organization (Bell Building) redevelopment project in Detroit utilizing lease-pass through structure and condo structure for phased transaction involving HTC/NMTC and HTC/LIHTC.
  • Represented investor on phased transaction involving a mixed use, 250-unit, 68-building project in Milwaukee utilizing LIHTC.
  • Represented developer on redevelopment of Champlain Mill Building in Winooski, VT with Federal HTC.
  • Represented developer on Kiel Opera House redevelopment project in St. Louis utilizing lease-pass through structure with Federal HTC, NMTC, Missouri State HTC and Brownfield credits.
