Mason is an associate in the tax practice group, where he regularly advises clients on federal and state and local tax (“SALT”) matters.
Mason’s federal tax practice includes counseling clients on income tax matters as they relate to business, financing, and merger and acquisition transactions. He assists clients on structuring deals in a tax efficient manner and navigating the intricacies of federal tax compliance. He also regularly advises tax exempt organizations on formation, governance, and ongoing compliance with the Internal Revenue Code.
In addition, Mason counsels clients on a variety of SALT matters, including franchise, property, and sales and use tax matters. He has a particular focus on economic development initiatives and works with clients to secure tax credits and property tax abatements.
