Kutak Rock tax partner Matthias M. Edrich authored the National Association of Bond Lawyers publication entitled “Considerations for Developing Post-Issuance Tax Compliance Procedures,” which was released by NABL in September 2016. The publication was prepared in coordination with the Government Finance Officers Association and aims to assist issuers in complying with federal tax law requirements relating to tax-exempt bonds. The publication begins with a brief overview of post-issuance compliance procedures and the basic tax laws applicable to tax-exempt bonds. The publication then sets forth characteristics of effective procedures and approaches to addressing common compliance needs.
