John Bales, an associate in Kutak Rock's Denver office, published an article titled "Transformational Change Doesn't Happen Overnight" on the Teach for America website. The article first appeared on August 10, 2015. Bales previously was a public school teacher and Diversity Facilitator for new teachers. He is an alumnus of the Teach for America Corps.
In the article Bales recounts the story of a student who dropped out of high school but who ultimately found his talent and graduated. Bales explains the lasting, positive effect students can enjoy long after they have left the classroom, as well as students' contribution to teachers' growth as educators.
