Kutak Rock congratulates Dwyer Arce on receiving the Nebraska State Bar Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award. The Distinguished Service Award is presented to lawyers and judges whose work demonstrates a sustained commitment to improving the administration of justice and strengthening the legal profession in Nebraska.
Dwyer was selected for the award, along with Judge Julie D. Smith, Joy Shiffermiller, and Jeanette Stull, in recognition of their service on the Rules Subcommittee of Nebraska Supreme Court Committee on Practice and Procedure. The Nebraska State Bar Foundation recognized the Rules Subcommittee for its four-year effort culminating in the November 2024 publication of amended Court Rules of Discovery and Rules of Pleading in Civil Cases.
These amendments introduced meaningful stylistic updates—enhancing readability, clarity, and usability—and addressed both longstanding and emerging procedural issues. Together, these reforms improved efficiency for litigants, attorneys, and judges while advancing the administration of justice across Nebraska.
The award was presented at the Nebraska State Bar Foundation’s annual Fellows Dinner on March 21, 2026, at the Country Club of Lincoln.
Congratulations to Dwyer on this well-deserved recognition.
