Kutak Rock is pleased to announce that Laurie Schwartz has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as of counsel in the public finance practice group.

Laurie brings more than two decades of experience advising clients on complex public finance, economic development and infrastructure transactions. Her practice encompasses a broad range of financings, including airport, water and sewer, stadium, healthcare, affordable housing and senior living projects. She regularly serves as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and disclosure counsel on tax-exempt and taxable bond transactions, helping public and private sector clients navigate sophisticated financing structures and achieve strategic development goals.

Throughout her career, Laurie has played a key role in numerous high-profile infrastructure and economic development projects. Her experience includes serving as co-disclosure counsel on a $2.4 billion special facilities bond issuance supporting a nearly $4 billion public-private partnership for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of an airport terminal, as well as underwriter's counsel on a $124 million public improvement bond issuance that supported a nearly $1 billion regional waterfront redevelopment project.

Laurie’s representative experience includes serving as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and disclosure counsel on numerous Georgia-based transactions involving the City of Atlanta, DeKalb County and Fulton County, as well as financings supporting airports, universities, student loan programs, healthcare systems and redevelopment initiatives throughout the United States.

Laurie earned her J.D. from Western New England University School of Law and her B.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology. She is admitted to practice in Georgia, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
