Mason Arterbury to Present on Section 1202 Qualified Small Business Stock at University of Arkansas CLE Program
News | July 29, 2026Kutak Rock attorney Mason Arterbury will present during the University of Arkansas’ Practice Pointers: Calling the Right Plays in Complex Planning program on Friday, July 31, at the Fred W. Smith Football Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The complimentary interdisciplinary program will bring together attorneys, CPAs, trust advisors and financial professionals to discuss recent developments in estate planning, tax strategy and philanthropy. Hosted by the University of Arkansas in partnership with the Arkansas Bar Association, the Arkansas Society of CPAs and Hoot Owl Legal, PLLC, the event will feature sessions focused on legislative developments, opportunity zones and collaborative planning strategies.
As part of the opening session, "From Touchdowns to Safeties: Key Takeaways from a Year of OB3," Mason will present on Section 1202 Qualified Small Business Stock, covering the basic requirements, pass-through entity considerations, venture capital structuring and recent legislative changes under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Mason’s federal tax practice includes counseling clients on income tax matters as they relate to business, financing, and merger and acquisition transactions. He assists clients on structuring deals in a tax efficient manner and navigating the intricacies of federal tax compliance. He also regularly advises tax exempt organizations on formation, governance, and ongoing compliance with the Internal Revenue Code.
In addition, Mason counsels clients on a variety of state and local tax matters, including franchise, property, and sales and use tax matters. He has a particular focus on economic development initiatives and works with clients to secure tax credits and property tax abatements.
Mason currently serves as the Chair of the Arkansas Bar Association, Section of Taxation.
