Kutak Rock partner Sisera Daniel will speak at the National Council of State Housing Agencies' webinar titled "Generating Additional Funding with Recycled Bonds" on January 28. The webinar will focus on the fundamentals of bond recycling, opportunities to maximize production and increase the supply of affordable housing with the private activity bond cap, state agency recycling program design, and new strategies for using recycled bonds in multifamily financial structuring.

Sisera will co-present "Bond Recycling Fundamentals" at 1:30 p.m. (ET). The session will cover:

  • Veteran tax-exempt bonds and the fundamental rules of multifamily bond recycling
  • Various approaches that state agencies have taken to establish recycling programs
  • The ability to issue recycled bonds in the absence of a state program
  • New opportunities to utilize the private activity bond cap more efficiently to maximize production and increase the supply of affordable housing

Sisera is a partner and Chair of the Public Finance Department in the Washington, D.C. office. She counsels governmental entities, financial institutions and non-profit organizations on housing and other public finance transactions. She routinely advises state and local housing finance agencies on single family and multifamily transaction structures’ compliance with relevant federal, state and local securities, tax and other laws. She also represents state and local issuers and, on occasion, developers, on economic development, industrial development, non-profit, and higher education transaction structures.
