Judy Crosby to Speak on ABA Forum Panel About Major Changes to Affordable Housing Law

Kutak Rock attorney Judy Crosby will join a panel of national leaders in affordable housing and community development law for the upcoming American Bar Association (ABA) Forum webinar, “One Big Beautiful Bill.” The free webinar will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 2:00 PM E.T. and is open to the public.

The panel will cover critical updates included in recent legislation impacting affordable housing and community development programs, including:

  • Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) updates, including the 25% test
  • New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) revisions
  • Energy credit enhancements
  • Opportunity Zones
  • Bonus depreciation

Judy will be joined by panelists Jordan Carr (Barnes & Thornburg LLP), Glenn Graff (Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen, P.C.), Forrest Milder (Nixon Peabody LLP), and Kent Neumann (Tiber Hudson LLC). The session is hosted by the ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law.

Judy's practice focuses on tax law, with particular expertise in affordable housing, partnership law, nonprofit law and equity financing of partnerships and limited liability companies. She has represented investors, syndicators and developers and provided tax structuring advice in hundreds of tax credit transactions, including mixed-income projects, mixed-use projects, assisted living projects, single-room occupancy projects for homeless individuals, mixed-finance public housing and HOPE VI projects, projects which are financed by a combination of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (federal and state) and Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits (federal and state) and projects financed by the New Markets Tax Credit.
