Kutak Rock partner Matthias Edrich will be a featured speaker at the upcoming CDFA // BNY Development Finance Webcast series on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. He will join a distinguished panel to discuss the new bond categories introduced under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) – bonds for qualified broadband projects and bonds for qualified carbon dioxide capture facilities.

The session, titled “Exploring New IIJA Bond Categories,” will focus on two recently established qualified uses for private activity bonds – carbon capture and broadband. Despite their potential, these categories have seen limited implementation since the IIJA’s enactment in 2021. Matthias, along with the other panelists, will provide insights into these future opportunities and explore ways to better utilize them to benefit communities nationwide, once tax guidance is available.
