Kutak Rock Attorney Ken Witt to Deliver CLE on Corporate Transparency Act

Ken Witt, an attorney in the firm’s Scottsdale office, will deliver a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) session that will offer a comprehensive examination of recent legislative and regulatory developments surrounding the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) and practical strategies for navigating these complexities. This presentation will take place on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 11:10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. MST.

Ken’s presentation is titled “Managing CTA Obligations in Law and Multi-entity Organizations” and will cover the following topics:

    • Complex organizational chart analysis
    • Practical limitations of the large operating company, subsidiary and inactive entity exemptions
    • Identification of beneficial owners
    • CTA compliance streamlining
    • Deciding on the use of external CTA vendors
    • Recent FinCEN guidance on TINs and disregarded entities
    • Recent FinCEN guidance on BOI reports for dissolved and transitory entities
    • BOI report updating challenges
