Deborah Froling Highlights Pioneering Women in Law in the Women Lawyers Journal

Deborah Froling, a partner in Kutak Rock’s Washington, D.C. office and past president of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL), has contributed an insightful piece in the latest issue of the Women Lawyers Journal.

In her article, Deborah explores the legacies of three trailblazing women lawyers, whose names are honored through NAWL Awards presented at the Annual Meeting each year. These include Arabella Babb Mansfield, the first women admitted to the Bar in the United States in 1869; Mahala Ashley Dickerson, the first African American president of NAWL in 1983; and Virginia S. Mueller, a champion of human rights and NAWL president in 1985. Deborah’s article delves into their remarkable stories highlighting why they remain pioneers in the legal community.

Deborah is a real estate capital markets lawyer and has closed public and private debt and equity offerings, primarily for REITs and other real estate companies, as well as non-traded equipment finance and oil and gas companies, and business development companies. She has also structured and closed numerous tenant in common syndications and has worked with public and private company clients providing general corporate counseling and advising on periodic and annual reporting and other SEC disclosure requirements.
