According to the article, “Navigating AI’s Impact on Intellectual Property Law: A Checklist for Negotiating AI Transactions,” legal frameworks within intellectual property law have not kept pace with AI development. Throughout, Erica provides guidance to attorneys as they look to stay current with AI and its impact on intellectual property law. The article includes considerations for negotiating AI provisions in contracts, provides a practice checklist of key issues to review in AI-related agreements, and provides a glossary of frequently used terms in AI technology vendor negotiations.

Erica is a partner in Kutak Rock’s Omaha office who concentrates her practice on complex commercial and technology transactions and the procurement and sale of intellectual property.
