Kutak Rock is pleased to announce that Tim McDonald, a trial attorney and judge advocate with over 10 years of experience, has joined the firm’s litigation practice group and will be resident in the firm’s Fayetteville office. In his new role with Kutak Rock, Tim will focus on providing defense for nursing homes, doctors and hospitals throughout Arkansas.

Tim has over a decade of practice as a prosecuting attorney across multiple jurisdictions, spending the last three and a half years prosecuting crimes against children for the Benton County prosecutor’s office in Bentonville, Arkansas. Since 2013 he has served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves. He deployed with the U.S. Army’s 35th Infantry Division as an operational law judge advocate and trial counsel in 2017. Prior to his time as a prosecuting attorney, Tim worked as a Presidential Management Fellow at the Department of Veterans Affairs and as a compliance and ethics officer for the Veterans Health Administration.

As a prosecutor and a judge advocate, Tim has been involved in many high-profile cases and his wealth of experience has made him adept in the areas of trial practice, victim advocacy, government investigations, public policy, and health law. His skillset and perspective will prove invaluable to the firm’s litigation practice group.

Tim received his J.D., along with a certificate in health law, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and earned a B.A. in philosophy from Saint Louis University. He is admitted to practice in Arkansas and Missouri.
