Kutak Rock Serves as Bond Counsel for CUBEC Parking Garage Project

Kutak Rock served as bond counsel in connection with the issuance of the Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority’s $25,660,000 Lease Revenue Bonds (CUBEC Parking Garage Project), Series 2023A and its $28,505,000 Lease Revenue Bonds (CUBEC Parking Garage Project), Federally Taxable Series 2023B. The proceeds of the Series 2023 Bonds were loaned by the Authority to CU Boulder Enterprise Corporation (“CUBEC”).

The Series 2023 Bond proceeds will be used by CUBEC to finance the costs of: (a) the design, construction, improvement, acquisition and equipping of a parking structure containing approximately five hundred (585) parking spaces being developed in connection with a conference center and hotel project located on the University of Colorado’s Boulder campus; (b) funding a Bond Reserve Fund, if any; (c) funding capitalized interest on the Series 2023 Bonds, if any; and (d) paying costs associated with the issuance of the Series 2023 Bonds. The Parking Garage will be located at 1215 Grandview Avenue in Boulder, Colorado and subleased to, and operated by, the University of Colorado.
