Peyton Watts to Attend ABOTA National Trial College
News | August 1, 2024Peyton Watts, an associate in Kutak Rock's Fayetteville office, has been selected from thousands of applicants to attend the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) National Trial College on August 4-9 at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in Chicago, Illinois.
ABOTA, founded over 50 years ago, is an invitation-only organization comprised of U.S. lawyers and judges. The organization is dedicated to preserving the 7th Amendment right to a civil trial by jury, promoting civility and professionalism among members of the bar, and protecting an independent judiciary. The ABOTA Trial College is a program that brings together young trial lawyers from across the country for advanced training and development.
Peyton focuses her practice on employment, trucking, construction, and complex commercial litigation. She has experience defending large trucking companies against negligence claims and regularly advocates for businesses in front of both the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in the courts. Prior to joining the firm;s Fayetteville office, Peyton clerked for the Honorable Joe J. Volpe in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
In 2023 Peyton was named to "The New Influentials: 20 in Their Twenties" by Arkansas Business. This recognition puts the spotlight on talented young leaders in Arkansas' business and nonprofit communities. Peyton was also selected for the Arkansas Bar Association's "Third Class of the Public Service Academy" which took place in January and March 2024.
