Kutak Rock Attorney Peyton Watts Named to "20 in Their Twenties" List

Peyton Watts, a litigation attorney in Kutak Rock’s Fayetteville office, has been named to the Arkansas Business “The New Influentials: 20 in Their Twenties.” This recognition spotlights talented young leaders in Arkansas’ business and nonprofit community.

Each “20 in Their Twenties” class is chosen by an internal committee reviewing more than 300 nominations with an eye toward accomplishments, responsibilities and people ahead of their time. The 2023 New Influentials: 20 In Their Twenties are featured in the September issue of Arkansas Business.

Peyton focuses on employment, trucking, construction, and complex commercial litigation. She has experience defending large trucking companies against negligence claims and regularly advocates for businesses in front of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the courts. Prior to joining the firm, Peyton clerked for the Honorable Joe J. Volpe in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.

Peyton graduated from William & Mary Law School, where she was an Articles Editor for the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal.  During law school, Peyton interned for the Honorable James M. Moody, Jr. in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Peyton also represented veterans in the law school’s Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic, obtained her third-year practice certificate and directly represented indigent defendants at the Norfolk Public Defender’s office, and tracked legislation for the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance.
