Kutak Rock Partner Robin Perkins Organizes One-of-a-Kind eDiscovery Conference

News | September 08, 2023

Robin Perkins, founder and chair of Kutak Rock’s eDiscovery Practice Group, founded the National eDiscovery Leadership Institute (“NeLI”) conference, which takes place September 28-29, 2023, in Kansas City, MO and online. NeLI features the very best speakers on eDiscovery where cutting-edge issues are discussed. Attend this year’s conference and decide the winner as judges debate each other in mock hearings, witness a live negotiation on a TAR validation protocol, hear from government attorneys and how they handle government investigations, learn about forensic collections, data privacy, bias issues in the use of TAR, and play against fellow attendees as you compete for prizes as part of an ethics’ game.  Additionally, Robin will moderate an in-house counsel panel comprised of attorneys from Google, Home Depot, Dish Network, and Walmart, and Robin will advocate in a mock hearing presided over by Judge Xavier Rodriguez.  The mock hearing will involve novel eDiscovery issues—including AI, ephemeral messaging, and sanctions—all issues that can arise during litigation. The hearing will educate attendees on the nuances that eDiscovery presents and arguments to make for both sides of an issue.

The NeLI conference is being offered for free to the first 200 registered in-person attendees. CLE credit is available. Register here to attend NeLI  in-person or participate remotely. If you are a client of the firm and wish to attend remotely, please contact Robin Perkins  for a comped registration.

Robin is the founder and chair of the firm’s eDiscovery Practice Group and a member of the firm’s commercial litigation practice. In addition to her work at Kutak Rock, Robin is an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas School of Law and teaches a course on eDiscovery.
